Weekly Blog: July 22-28

After getting back from our road trip, this week was spent putting things away, catching up at work, and catching our breath.

Monday night, I had dinner with coworkers at Stone Porch Alehouse. I had their seasonal blueberry margarita, smash burger, and mac and cheese. All were fantastic and I can't wait to come again.

On Wednesday, Mike and I went downtown to visit The Rigby! I am horrible at planning so of course it was the same day as Concerts on the Square. We enjoyed a few drinks, fries, and the spinach artichoke dip plate. Those are now some of my favorite fries in the Capital.

And of course had to get some shots for Klarbrunn, my favorite sparkling water!

Thursday I did a revisit to Candy Cloud to try their July special, Rocket Pop. It was a very interesting drink since I don't like mixing so the top tasted like pure watermelon and the rest tasted like a rocket pop.

Mike and I finally went to Jason's Deli and I can't believe we have been missing out on it for so long. The alfredo, one of their most popular items, is popular for a reason. I had a delicious caprese sandwich, perfect for the summer. The chicken dumpling soup may have not matched the summer heat, but it was still delicious. To top everything off, there is a free soft serve ice cream machine!

In the afternoon, I went to Vera's Bridal to try on wedding dresses and I almost said "Yes to the Dress!" Since a wedding dress is a big commitment, I decided to wait a few days until I was 100%. Below are some that didn't win my heart fully.

Since I was in wedding mode, I stopped at Michaels to get floral and went to work on centerpieces. We are over a year out but I figure the best time to start is now.

On Sunday I caught up with a friend of mine who was in town for a couple of days. We once again got Candy Cloud since she hadn't tried it and then wandered around Greenway Station.

Happy Trails!
