Weekly Blog: July 1-7

Wow! Fourth of July week! Personally, I love working this week since it is a bit slower time in the office. It's the day back after the holiday weekend when I suffer. Strange to think that a few years ago that was the opposite for me. Holiday weeks were very hard in customer service roles.

On the Fourth of July Mike and I had lunch at Portillo's. On the way home, we stopped at Kwik Trip for a Red, White, and Blue Johnny Pop.

My friend and I then headed down to Monroe to attend their Fourth of July event and watch the fireworks. We visited the historic main street to view "Realms of Downtown".

In the local park, we watched the Foo Foo Dolls play and later the City Band. I got a pork loin sandwich, one of my current favorite outing foods along with a snow cone.

The fireworks at the end of the night were very impressive.

I went back to work on Friday. On Saturday, I met a good friend at Alice Good Specialty Coffee in Verona. We caught up on all things life.

For lunch, Mike and I went to Bonefish Grill, mainly for their bang bang shrimp which I think about a little too much.

The weekend was wrapped up with half relaxing, half prepping for our upcoming trip.

Happy Trails!
