Weekly Blog: August 26-September 1

The weekdays before a big weekend can go a variety of ways. Some folks spend it packing, others are making final plans, some have friends and family in town so they spend each night with them. I apparently didn't do anything. I have been trying to take a more laissez-faire to my weekdays so I can go harder on my weekends. But that is rarely the case. Turns out, I was able to rest up before the weekend (or was that my bank account talking?).

Friday night the 30th, I headed up to Sauk City to watch the Wisconsin State Cow Chip Corporate Toss. I figured Saturday I wouldn't have time to watch the other tosses, so this was my toss of the year.

On Saturday, it was back to Sauk to watch the Cow Chip Parade.

After the parade, I hustled down to the Rodeo in Monroe, or as Chloe calls it, the Monrodeo.

After the rodeo, we were back to The Local Joint for wine slushies and Spilled Grapes Wine Bar for sangria and a plate of Muenster.

Later, there was a barn dance we visited for a little bit but I didn't get any footage! #livinginthemoment

On Sunday, we took a bus downtown to visit Taste of Madison. This was my first time in 4 years not working the event, so it was nice to see it from an outsider perspective.

The rest of the day I spent filming the last of "Festivals and Events" for the season. For a little treat, I hit up Miko Poke for dinner.

Happy Trails!
