Fall is showing itself more and more both outside and in. The trees are changing color so early and the stores are full of Fall decor.

On Wednesday, we went to North and South Seafood & Smokehouse. Our meals were both very good. I have been finding that BBQ is too heavy for me so I enjoyed grilled shrimp.

Two of my UK coworkers had come over for a couple of weeks to work with our office. So we took every opportunity to show them around.

On Friday, we visited The Old Fashioned. I had the Friday Fish and a root beer. The table of coworkers shared cheese curds which were very very good.

On Saturday, I took my UK coworkers on a grand adventure around Wisconsin. First stop was back downtown for the famous Farmer's Market on the Square. We stopped into Colectivo Coffee for the first coffee of the day.

Afterwards, we drove down to Stoughton for the Coffee Break Festival. This was a really neat festival. For $10 (or $20 for the collector's mug) you could sample various coffees from a variety of coffee companies and vote for your favorite.

We also watched a strongwomen's competition and checked out the vehicles at the car show.

We then drove over to Sun Prairie to the Sweet Corn Festival. After parking, we learned the coworker who was supposed to meet us had a kidney stone and was taken to the hospital. A strong reminder to drink water!!

I am no stranger to the Sweet Corn Fest. This is my third year attending. For $10, you receive a tote of corn (about 10 cobs). Your party then strips the corn and takes it to someone to be buttered. My favorite part is the salt tree.

And 2022!

For dinner, we went to Chicken Licks. And it was pretty darn good!

I took Sunday as a rest day to prep for one of the busiest weeks we have at work. But Mike did a stop into Falbo Bros. Pizza so enjoy this fun mural in the store!

Happy Trails!
