Monthly Blog: October

Featuring a summary of September 30-October 31

Time flies and with only so much time in a day, and even less energy, it's hard to keep up with a weekly blog! So this is a summary of my exciting October.

The major part of my October was participating in the Ice Age Trail's Mammoth Hike Challenge. I hiked 44 miles on various parts of the IAT. You can check out my recaps on my TikTok, but below are some of my highlights.

After the Monticello segment, I joined my friend for a craft day and made this fun Hobbit inspired wreath.

Before hiking on the Ringle segment of the IAT, I visited Ringle Harvest Day. It's basically a large flea market and I found a few good finds.

After the Devil's Lake segment, I stopped into Ski-Hi for some apples and apple cider donuts.

Before the Milton-Harmony segment, I visited Havana Coffee for breakfast. I hope to eat my way through their menu, slowly but surely!

During one of my Verona hikes, I enjoyed this beautiful moon.

I visited Lightsoncolony for their Halloween light show one night.

Icki Sticki had a secret menu drink called Duck Duck Razz Boba which I had to try and enjoyed! Plus, it came with a little duck!

The other big feature of October was our adventure out to Phoenix! But I will save that for a different blog post.

I ended October like many others celebrating Halloween! Mike and I went as Milk and Cookie. Happy Halloween!

Happy Trails!
